Biography
Hi! My name is Davey and I’m a 5th-year Microbiology and Immunology student. This past year, I’ve been researching combinatorial therapies to remodel tumor microenvironments and exosome crosstalk at the Swiss Institute for Experimental Cancer Research. My directed studies thesis focused on engineering chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) phagocytes using mRNA-LNP approaches as a cancer immunotherapy. I’ve previously worked on various spinal cord injury research projects at VGH ICORD as a Co-op Research Student. I’ve also had the privilege of working with some great teams at BC Cancer and the UBC Life Sciences Institute on topics ranging from radiation oncology to neuroendocrinology. In my free time, I enjoy music, sunsets, hiking, and snowboarding. Feel free to ask me any questions about research as I’m always happy to help!
