Meet Denise

Hi, I’m Denise and I’m currently studying Behavioural Neuroscience at UBC. I’ve been a part of the UBC Sexual Health Research Lab since 2020 and have worked on projects involving asexuality, breast cancer, and treatments for sexual dysfunction and vaginismus. Recently, I completed research involving Canadian women living with HIV/AIDS and am now planning my own Directed Studies project on low sexual desire in women. Outside of research, I teach sexual health education at high schools around Vancouver and love anything involving public health and interdisciplinary work. In my spare time, I enjoy cooking and motorsport.
