Biography
Hi everyone, my name is Denise (she/her) and I’m a 4th-year student studying Behavioural Neuroscience. For the past 4 years, I have been a research assistant with the UBC Sexual Health Research Lab and conducted my Directed Studies project there (examining sexual distress and sexual response among different ethnic groups). At the lab, I’ve worked on various projects, including examining biomarkers for asexuality and creating new standardized measures for sexual pleasure. My more public health-focused experiences are with the Australian Study of Health and Relationships and a cohort study on Canadian women living with HIV. Feel free to reach out with any questions!
