Biography
Hi there, I’m Puloma! I am a 4th year student studying Psychology with a minor in Sociology and my research interests revolve around the field of Clinical Psychology. After sending numerous cold emails and getting ghosted by several lab managers (yes, it seems never-ending!), I got some amazing research opportunities in UBC’s Department of Psychology as well as the Department of Medicine (BUT it gets better!!). Other than doing Research Assistant work for labs like Depression, Anxiety and Stress Lab, The Health and Adult Development Lab, and Inclusive Campus Lab, I am currently also employed in a WorkLearn position as the Research Assistant for the UBC Digital Emergency Medicine located at Vancouver General Hospital. After a long day of work, I always look forward to some time with myself away from my laptop, with my music playlist. I am aware that the process of getting a research opportunity is super challenging, and I had to go through it alone, but as your research coach, I will constantly motivate you to keep persevering. Feel free to come say hi, share your experiences, or to even hear more about mine!
