About Me

Hi! I’m Stephanie and I am entering my second year of engineering. I have been involved in research in a genetics lab, and I am currently doing a summer research project on computer vision and machine learning at BC Children’s Hospital Research Institute. I am also starting my second year as part of UBC BEST, the Biomedical Engineering Student Team, on the Multifaceted Innovation in Neurotechnology Team (MINT). An interesting fact about me is that I have gone stand-up paddle boarding in the Arctic

How did I first get into research?

I first got into research the summer before first year, when I was doing clinical research in a genetics lab at BC Children’s Hospital Research Institute! During first year, I participated in URO’s REX program and worked on a bioethics project.
