Biography
Hi! I’m Yaseen, a second-year student integrating physiology and neuroscience. I initially became interested in research through my high school experiences working on research projects for my classes. My interests deepened when I started conducting my independent studies and literature readings. During my first year, I had the opportunity to participate in the REX program as a mentee and I really enjoyed the program so I wanted to continue to be involved. I am currently involved at BC Children’s Hospital, where I focus on enhancing the quality of care provided to patients. I also volunteer at the Center for Brain Health as a research assistant. Beyond my academic pursuits, I enjoy skiing, biking and going for runs. I am really looking forward to sharing my research interests with other passionate undergraduate students!
